Heritage Fruit from "old vine" trees

Affectionately known as Emily's Orchard here at Plum Berry Farm, we are the next generation of stewards of this special orchard planted over 70 years ago.  While Emily was famous for her orchard of Italian Plum trees, she also planted fig, several varietals of cider apples, pears, and other plums.  A believer of companion planting, she knew just what to plant where to ensure successful pollination and propagation.

Since buying the property in early 2020, we have taken a cautious approach; not pruning back too severely, planting companion plants and trees, and creating environments for pollinators, including our own honeybees.
