Plum & Goat Crostini

Start with a flavorful crusty bread.  Slice and dry in the oven.  Rub with a clove of garlic and coat generously with goat cheese and top with Plum Berry Farm's Italian Plum Preserves.  A sprig of fresh thyme adds just the right amount of summer to this favorite afternoon treat.

Variation - Roasted plum and goat cheese salad:

Create a vibrant salad by roasting Italian plums until they caramelize and become tender.  Toss with mixed greens, crumbled goat cheese, candied walnuts and a simple vinaigrette.  The combination of sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors will delight your taste buds.

Plum Preserve Pairings

Our Plum Preserves pair well with cheese, roasted meats, or as a flavorful addition to sandwiches and wraps.  One of our favorite pairings is to add a generous spoonful to your Thanksgiving plate, either along side or in place of a tart cranberry sauce.

You can't go wrong with adding a jar of plum jam on any cheese or charcuterie board!  Goes well with meats and with hard cheeses such as sheeps milk cheeses.

Plum-Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Make a show-stopping main dish by stuffing a rolled pork tenderloin with a flavorful mixture of our dried Italian plums, breadcrumbs, dried herbs and spices.  Roast until the pork is tender and the plums release their sweetness into the juices, creating a delicious sauce.

Plum Barbecue Sauce

If you missed getting a jar of our limited edition Plum Barbecue Sauce, you can make your own tangy and savory bbq sauce.  Chop 1/2 cup of dried plums (a little goes a long way) or mix in one 6 oz jar of our Italian Plum Jam with ketchup, dark brown sugar, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and your favorite spices.  Also use as a glaze for grilled or roasted meats or as a dipping sauce for wings.
